- Remove %category% from Custom Structure.

Method #2: Remove Category Base From URL [Using Plugin]
In most of the cases, method 1 will work as expected. But in case you want to remove category base from category pages then using a plugin is a good option:

- Navigate to Plugins -> Add New
- Search For Remove Category URL.
- Install and Activate the plugin.

Method #3: Remove Category Base From URL [Using Yoast]
If you’re using Yoast SEO plugin then you can easily remove category base from Yoast setting and no need to install any additional plugin on your website.
- Navigate to SEO > Search Appearances
- Select Taxonomies.
- Scroll down you’ll see Category URLs
- Toggle to Remove
- Click on Save Changes.
